Our team members play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service, preparing quality coffee and food items, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment within the cafe. It's essential to have a versatile and adaptable team member who can handle both barista and food preparation responsibilities effectively.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Greet customers warmly and provide a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring special requests are noted.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including clearing tables and ensuring a neat appearance.
- Prepare and serve coffee and espresso-based beverages, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Prepare a variety of deli sandwiches according to cafe recipes and customer preferences.
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met during food preparation and storage.
- Maintain freshness and quality of ingredients by monitoring stock levels and rotating products.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and resolve them to the best of your ability.
- Provide exceptional service by anticipating customer needs and ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and utensils regularly.
- Monitor and restock inventory, including coffee, milk, syrups, sandwich ingredients, and disposables.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Work collaboratively with other cafe staff members to ensure smooth operations.
- Stay informed about the cafe's menu items, including coffee offerings, sandwiches, and specials.
- Educate customers about menu choices, ingredients, and flavor profiles.
Job Type: Part-time, can potentially increase hours based off availability.
Pay: From $13.00 - $15.00 per hour. Tip eligible.
Expected hours: 25-30 Hours per week
