Cafe Manager
Location: Mount Joy, PA
Type: Full-time, hourly (eligible for tips)
We’re hiring a Cafe Manager to help lead our Mount Joy Cafe. This is a hands-on role where the goal is to keep the cafe running smoothly and the team supported. This position is best for someone who has led a cafe or restaurant before and cares about consistency and customer experience.
What You’ll Do:
- Support and oversee a team of baristas
- Create weekly schedules and handle staff availability, as well as coverage needs.
- Support training of new hires and reinforce standards on the floor.
- Ensure food safety and cleanliness standards are upheld.
- Participate in opening and closing shifts as needed.
- Support staff with customer questions or concerns as needed.
- Assist with ordering and inventory tracking; receive deliveries and flag shortages or issues.
- Keep basic daily logs (inventory, waste, notes) and communicate issues to upper management.
- Contribute to team morale and encourage a positive work environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in a cafe, restaurant, or similar food service environment.
- Previous leadership experience in a cafe or restaurant setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a reliable presence.
- Organized and dependable.
- Willingness to work mornings and weekends.
- Someone who enjoys working as part of a leadership team.
